About Me
I don’t have a middle name.
My names are Karen Lin and 林后容 (ling ho rong). I wasn’t given a middle name, so I gave myself a “decorative” middle initial “T” which stands for my Mandarin nickname 甜甜 (tian tian). I only did this because I know at least three other Karen Lins — one who I went to Chinese school with and had the same piano teacher, another who lives in my hometown and is exactly 12 years younger than me, and the third who is a successful film director. And I keep meeting more all the time!
